Engage Counsel
Contact
This Resource Center is informational. The contact methods below reach G. Dowd Law LLC directly — for regulatory inquiries, broker-dealer or futures disputes, expert-witness engagements, or other financial-markets matters.
When to reach out
Common reasons clients contact the firm in the financial-markets space include:
- A broker-dealer or registered representative has frozen, restricted, or refused to release funds or securities in your account
- You have received a Wells notice, subpoena, or document request from the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, NFA, or a state securities regulator
- You believe you have been the victim of unsuitable recommendations, churning, unauthorized trading, or breach of fiduciary duty
- You are involved in, or facing, a FINRA arbitration, NFA arbitration, securities litigation, or futures litigation
- You are facing a FINRA Rule 8210 request or an NFA Compliance Rule 2-9 inquiry
- You are seeking an expert witness for a financial-markets dispute — industry custom and practice, suitability, supervision, damages, or market manipulation
- You believe you may have a whistleblower claim under the SEC or CFTC programs
What to expect
The firm responds to consultation requests within one business day. An initial conversation typically lasts thirty to sixty minutes and covers:
- The factual background of your matter
- The legal posture as the firm currently understands it
- Whether the matter is one the firm can take, refer, or decline
- If applicable, the engagement structure and fee arrangement
No attorney-client relationship is created by sending an email, leaving a voicemail, or scheduling an initial conversation. An engagement is established only by a written engagement letter signed by both the client and the firm.
Before you contact us
